Reflection

This has been a great journey. This class has taught me a lot. I feel their has been only one draw back, I wish the class would have been are only course for the semester, so I could have focused a lot more on the language piece. As for the technology part is has been wonderful, its amazing how much information and great things you can do with a computer & Internet. I have learned todo many things with the computer. Thanks for the language programs Brian I will continue to use them. Hope everyone has a well deserved summer break.

Well, my speech is written and I'm determined to be able to recite it to the class. Brian, I did add my clan and who named me in my speech, those were the easiest to say. I think I almost have myself dug out of the hole I created for myself so I can focus on my speech. Good Luck Class!!!

I have been practicing on the flash cards and been able to understand some of the words with hearing them over and over. (Actually read them). I'm so excited! It gives me hope for my speech.

These are video clips of the Bellagio and Fremont Street from my recent trip to Las Vegas.

They are amazing to watch so if you ever get a chance to go Vegas go see them. The fountain's are awesome! Its amazing what a little technology and a canopy can do.

Hadley

In the Hadley readings I felt that I could relate to the students In the book. Everyone has anxiety while talking in front of others. This is a huge barrier from me that I need to overcome. I'm lucky I lived through speech in high school. The language is very scary to learn. I think it is the fear of being wrong. Also, in the readings it talked about the use of technology to learn the language and they found an increase with the students who used computers to learn the language vs the ones who tried without technology. I love using the language programs because I can explore them in the privacy of my own home and only I know if I'm wrong.

Hadley Text

The HYPOTHESIS I choose was #4. This Hypothesis is instruction should be responsive to the affective as well as the cognitive needs of students, and their different personalities, preferences, and learning styles should be taken into account.

I choose this Hypothesis because of the valid points I found in the reading. I believe every child has their own way of learning new things. This is what makes a good teacher, the wiliness to try new things to help them to succeed.
